Every Bluewater Miles day is an educational one. Each morning, weather permitting, we work at techniques or discuss cruising topics that include such things as sail trim, reefing, sail repair and marlinespike seamanship, weather, celestial, coastal and electronic navigation, alternative steering, crew-overboard recovery and diesel engines. Crew members rotate positions each day, and practice fundamental rules of safety at sea, as well as water and fuel conservation. Captain's dinners punctuate the beginning and end of passages, and with any luck, you'll enjoy some dorado sushi or tuna burritos along the way.  Mementos, a CD full of photos, a USCG document of sea time, a detailed letter of accomplishment, and a well-earned landfall insure that you’ll never forget the Bluewater Miles adventure. When it comes to ocean voyaging, accomplishment is measured in nautical miles. Log well over a hundred miles a day, with Neptune’s permission, and never forget to have fun!
